Great forum last night hosted by Caucus of African American Leaders. My opening remarks: I am running to be the new voice for Ward 8 for three main reasons:

1. First, Improve Public Safety – I have a plan to address parking, traffic, sidewalks and crime.

2. Second, we need to overhaul our budget process and stop the massive increase in property taxes.

3. And third, the city staff must be more responsive, and we must fix the permitting process.

I grew up in Eastport and Annapolis and I have been listening to our neighbors - We love our unique maritime culture - it is time to create a vision for Eastport that residents want.

I have successfully led in the Navy and the non-profit sector,

·      I have experience solving difficult issues,

·      And now I have the time to bring that experience, full-time, to serving our community.
